Community concert series, Thursday evenings throughout the summer starting June 14. Featuring an outstanding all-natural beef, chicken and vegetarian barbecue, including side salads, melon, drinks and more. New Frontiers will be hosting an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social, with free ice cream for all. Annual C Gallery “Someday I’ll Take Art ” Teacher/Student show from 4-6 p.m. There will be plein air paintings from workshop with Sheryl Knight, assorted paintings from painting class with Sharon Tate, drawings and watercolors from the morning class with Connie Rohde, collages from retreats with Karen Browdy and watercolors from classes with Carole Patton. “Hats on Parade” A Courtyard Tea, Hat Fashion Show. A delightful afternoon tea and hat fashion show featuring guest speaker Kay Spilker from 1-3 p.m. at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum. Tickets for the talk, tea and hat fashion show are $30 for museum members, $35 for non-members in advance. Tickets will be available at the gate on the day of the event for $40. Solvang Third Wednesday - Midsommer Musik Free concerts throughout downtown in addition to regular monthly features, including Farmers Market, wine and beer walk, scavenger hunt plus savings on shopping, dining and activities. 5 p.m. at Solvang Park with JT and the Zydeco Zippers playing Cajun, New Orleans Dance party music. Valleystock, a Santa Ynez Valley celebration, music festival and fundraiser, will be held out at Live Oak Camp. Currently there are 10 bands scheduled to perform, with more being added weekly. Any local musicians or groups interested in donating their talent and time to this charity event use the contact information below. The Santa Ynez Elks will be providing BBQ dinners Sat-Sun with a Sunday morning breakfast. Price per adult is $60, which includes admission to Live Oak (camping optional), all meals, live music. The Vineyard House Restaurant for Jazz Under the Stars Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Music on the front deck, dinner is served, $3 per person entertainment charge added to the guest check.
