3500th Block of East Highway 246, Santa Ynez

A 19-year-old female from Lompoc reported that unknown suspect(s) broke into her car and stole some belongings. Suspect(s) broke the rear driver side window. Estimated loss: $180. No arrests were made.

3400th Block of East Highway 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

A 48-year-old male from El Rio California was cited for allegedly taking food items from a snack bar without attempting to pay for the items. Security cameras recorded the offense. The suspect signed a citizen’s arrest on behalf of the casino. He was cited and released.

Arrest

1400th Block of Mission Drive, Solvang (Hadsten House Inn)

A 43-year-old female from Woodland Hills California was arrested for public intoxication after a Hadsten House employee reported that the suspect was heavily intoxicated and yelling. Upon police arrival the suspect had already left the premises. Police apprehended the suspect while she was walking Eastbound on Mission. The suspect gave police her Chumash Casino card and her fitness membership card after they asked her for a California Driver License. Suspect was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

 

Battery

1100th Block of Edison Street, Santa Ynez (Edison Street Inn)

A 59-year-old male from Santa Ynez reported that a 46-year-old male from Napa California punched him on the left side of his face, then jumped over the front gate and left the premises. Apparently the confrontation was over a dispute about guest check in time. No charges were pressed.

Vandalism

3500th Block of Tivola Street, Santa Ynez

A 63-year-old female from Santa Ynez reported the unknown suspect(s) painted graffiti on the window of her vehicle. Police report the graffiti to be “Gang Style”. No arrests were made. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

 

Citation

Cachuma Lake, Santa Barbara

A 32-year-old male was cited for not possessing a valid drivers license after he attempted to enter the park. The suspect was found to be on parole. He was cited and released.

Highway 246 West of Pine Street, Solvang

A 29-year-old male from Solvang was cited for allegedly possessing less than an ounce of marijuana after police pulled him over for having a broken tail light. The male was cited for possession of an illegal substance and given a notice to appear.

 

Citation

Cachuma Lake, Santa Barbara

A 20-year-old male from Santa Barbara was cited for driving on a suspended license after police pulled him over for speeding.  The suspect admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the citation. He was also on probation and was given a notice to appear.

Arrest

3400 East Highway 246, Parking Lot 2B, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

A 26-year-old female from Ventura was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of Methamphetamine, Amphetamine and being in possession of the drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

 

Battery

3400th Block of East Highway 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

A 51-year-old male and a 52-year-old female from Santa Maria unlawfully used force and became physical with an adult male, from Santa Ynez. The suspects were placed under citizen’s arrest and taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

 

Arrest

1400th Block of Aarhus Drive, Solvang

A 22-year-old female from Solvang was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license and allegedly being in possession of marijuana. Police pulled her over for suspicious behavior. The suspect was taken into custody, to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

 

Citation

First Street and Mission Drive, Solvang

A 53-year-old male from Santa Ynez was cited for parking in a red zone. The suspect was allegedly illegally camping in his vehicle. He was given a notice to appear.

Drug Sale

2900th Block of East Highway 246, Santa Ynez (Santa Ynez High School)

A 44-year-old male from Santa Ynez reported that a 15-year-old male was selling Shitake mushrooms in lieu of hallucinogenic mushrooms in front of the old gym and the theater building. The 44-year-old male reported over hearing an argument between two minors about the mushrooms. After the Vice Principal searched the suspected minors backpack, a plastic zip lock bag containing the mushrooms was found. No arrests were made. The case was submitted to juvenile probation.
