Speaking of Hyperbole

 

"They won't tell you, but as they fly around in their private jets buying and selling carbon credits to each other, they intend for you to walk, but their environmentally friendly cars, light bulbs, refrigerators and whatever else they can control...." so too they intend to change your behavior to their advantage." Am I to understand that Gore and his henchmen are doing this so they can sell hybrid cars, low wattage light bulbs and appliances?  Why do conservatives ignore the fact that the vast majority of scientists accept the fact that fossil fuels are indeed contributing to global warming. Oh yes there is a scant number who dispute this, but on the whole the idea is accepted world wide. And yes this condition has been happening for eons, but not to the extent that we see today. To suggest it being a liberal plot to sell cars, appliances etc. is a fatuous piece of junk reasoning. Who is THEY...Toyota? GE?

Well, Ian, I don’t know about conservatives but I do know that the vast majority of scientists do NOT accept that CO2 is the culprit in global warming and the idea is NOT accepted worldwide although most media would have you believe that. Actually there have been periods of warming much more significant than today and it was a very good thing for many parts of the world. Tens of thousands of jobs depend on the concept of the scare being produced by “warming” enthusiasts. For more information, as opposed to junk propaganda, check out www.youtube.com. We Americans Must Stand By Our Troops

 

We Americans must “stand by” our troops in Iraq and “stand by” the Iraqi People.  We are their only protection from foreign genocide.  We failed to do so in 1991 during the “Gulf War” and 300,000 Shiite Iraqis were massacred by Saddam.  Due to the news Media and the Democratic Congress, we failed to do so in Viet Nam and 2 million people were massacred by the communists.  We supported the South Korean with our troops and there is a peaceful and prosperous country today.  We supported the Israelis against Arab Muslim genocide and today we have a strong democratic state in the Middle East.  We stepped into Bosnia and ended endless genocide there.  We stepped into Afghanistan and stopped the roots of terrorism there. 

The American News media lead by the New York Times, Associated Press and CNN and their like numbers in the Democratic Party are placing millions at risk by undermining American efforts in the Middle East and demanding an ill advised withdrawal before the area is stabilized.  How long should we “stand by” the Iraqis?  As long as it take to assure all Americans that we will not be responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people in Iraq, or anywhere else in the world, again.  

It is the American Mission in world history to provide liberty, freedom and democracy to all who which to accept them.  

 The Iraqis have only known thousands of years of tyranny while we Americans were founded on freedom for all.  Why do the Democrats and the Media think the Iraqis should make the transition to liberty overnight?  The Russians and the East Germans took years to adjust to their newfound freedoms after the Berlin Wall fell in1991.

One gets the impression that the Democrats and the Media are totally opposed to these ideals and support radical Muslim theocracy and fascism.  The Media act to make America fail because their allies are the Muslim terrorists.  Let’s not let the Democrats and the Media and their terrorist’s allies precipitate another genocide in the world.

Let’s “Stand By” our American Troops and the Iraqi people!

Dear Editor, Pets Act Response to Reader Letter

In your 7-20 to 7-29 issue, reader Laurie King writes that we do not have the right, via Pets Act AB1634 to “put dog breeders out of business” with spay and neuter requirements.

They should be limited by kennel Club registries to only a few litters per year. If they believe the world needs “mutts” they they can cros-breed and be limited by law on the numbers of these pups.

She states we should “educate our children in the need for spay and neuter.” Thank kind of thinking produces 9,000,000 unwanted pets to be destroyed every year.

The Pet’s Act should be put into law.
