Robbery

3000th block of Pine Street, Santa Ynez College School Campus

A storage tool chest was broken into and tools were stolen. It appeared the suspects left in a hurry because several valuable tools were left behind nearby. A witness reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, a faded lime green ford truck, possibly with a lumber rack. The owners are gathering a list of stolen property.

1900th block W. Hwy 246, Buellton

A 50-year-old male was spotted sleeping in a vehicle parked in the reporting party's driveway.  Suspect could not remember his name, several beer cans were found in the vehicle and he didn’t know where he was. Suspect was arrested.

While in route to a reported battery of a hotel employee, the officer observed a man staggering on the sidewalk that matched the description of the battery suspect.

A white male was found trespassing at the Chumash Casino. Suspect returned to  the Casino after being told to leave. Was placed under citizens arrest.

A suspicious suspect was found intoxicated in a restaurant kitchen. When asked how much he had to drink that evening he stated he’d had too much and he also stated that he did not drive because he had too many DUI’s.

A 27-year-old female exceeding the speed limit and weaving blew a .20 alcohol level. She was cited and released to a responsible person.

600th block Alamo Pintado, Rite Aid

Suspects tried to have several pharmaceutical prescriptions filled in the name of another with a forged signature. Suspects fled.

A suspect was stopped for expired plates but was displaying a current registration tag. Suspect claimed not to have a drivers license then stated he had  a Washington drivers license. There was no license or proof of insurance found  and he didn’t know where the current tab came from.  The vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the suspect was cited and released.

A 31-year-old Hispanic male was found under the influence of a controlled substance. Suspect said he’d used Methamphetamine one month ago. He was booked for being under the influence as well as for a violation of parole. The suspect was transferred to Vista Point.

A 31-year-old male conspiring with two other suspects entered the casino in attempt to cash three counterfeit payroll checks. Suspect was escorted to the main jail and booked.

A 40-year-old male panhandler was attempting to sell jewelry at the Chumash Casino. He appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and in possession of possible stolen property. The jewelry was taken for safe keeping and pending further investigation. The suspect was banned from the Chumash Casino and was transported to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

A 38-year-old female found in parked car was found to be on probation.  Officers found Methamphetamine behind the drivers seat. She and the meth tested positive. The suspect was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail and her probation officer was contacted.

A 21-year-old male and a 23-year-old male were found skating without a helmet and pads. They had their skateboards seized and held as evidence.

A 51-year-old male was suspected of being under the influence. He was taken to a hospital for a blood draw. It came back with an alcohol level of .08. He was cited for a DUI and released to a responsible party.

A 45-year-old female was placed under citizens arrest for interfering with a business. The suspect had previously been banned from the casino. She is now banned for life.

A 23-yr-old male was stopped for following to close. Alcohol was detected, when asked what else was in the car the suspect produced a bottle containing marijuana with no medical card. He was cited and released. He had another 23-year-old and 24-year-old male in vehicle at the time.

A 19-year-old male without a helmet or pads was observed falling to a prone position. Officer motioned him to come over and the suspect broke his skateboard in half. Suspect had been cited previously for skateboarding restriction. His skateboard was seized for evidence.

A 29-year-old male was stopped for a traffic violation when he fled. Suspect was arrested for resisting arrest, delaying and obstructing justice. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Cumash Casino

A 49-yr-old female was arrested for being under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. An employee of the casino had approached the suspect at one of the slot machines. Suspect got nervous and knocked over her purse, a folded 20 dollar bill containing a white powdery substance fell out onto the floor. Employee then contacted the Sheriffs Department. A survellience tape in the parking lot showed her activities. She was taken to Santa Maria.

2000th block of east U.S. Highway 246, Solvang, Alliance Gas

A 20-year-old male suspect threw a blunt object through a window and removed a 10-gallon oil can. On the same day, suspect was reported on 2000th block of Mission Drive throwing a potted plant through another window. Also on the 1900th block of Old Mission Drive he threw a potted planted through a door window.
