Las Cruces

(Gaviota Hot Springs)

A 20-year-old male from Isla Vista reported that unknown suspect(s) stole his cell phone from the center console of his car as well as $45. The phone was described as a LG Chocolate worth approximately $150. A 20-year-old female who was accompanying the male also reported missing her driver’s license, three checks made out to her and $60. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

 

Grand Theft

1054 Alisal Road, Solvang

(Alisal Guest Ranch)

A 61-year-old male reported that unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal two unlocked golf carts from the guest ranch. One of the golf carts was driven into a wall and the other golf cart was

taken from the property and left near 207 Alisal Road. Two males were reportedly heard in the area at approximately the same time the incident took place. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

and Second Street,

Buellton

An 18-year-old male from Santa Barbara was issued a citation for allegedly being in possession of marijuana paraphernalia after police observed him roll through an intersection. The man reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier, he was cited and released.

Arrest

1600th block of Mission Drive,

Solvang

A 46-year-old female was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after police observed her vehicle swerving in and out of driving lanes. After failing various sobriety tests, she was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail and her car was impounded.

 Santa Ynez (The YMCA)

A minor from Santa Maria reported that an unknown male suspect approximately 16-years-old punched him in the stomach and face for no apparent reason. The victim reported that the assailant said nothing during the attack. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

False Impersonation

 616 Alamo Pintado Road, Solvang

(Rite-Aid)

A 37-year-old male reported that a male suspect falsely represented himself as a doctor calling in to place a prescription order for a patient. After confirming that the person who called was not the actual doctor, the Rite-Aid employee contacted the doctor, and the doctor denied treating the so called patient. The suspect has failed to pick up the prescription. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

 

Warrant Arrest

3400 East Highway 246, Santa Ynez

(Chumash Casino)

A 29-year-old female from Oxnard was taken into custody for having an outstanding warrant for her arrest as a result of a field contact. She was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond.

Commercial Burglary

4008 Foxen Canyon Road,

Los Olivos

(Foxen Canyon Sanitary Landfill)

Police received reports that an unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked kiosk and stole $570 from a secure safe. A report was taken and a request for a detective follow up was submitted.

 

Public Intoxication

500th block of Alisal Road, Solvang

A 54-year-old female from Solvang was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol. She had also been reportedly assaulting her neighbor. She was taken to the Santa Maria Jail and held on a $1,000 bond.

1400th block of Mission Drive, Solvang

Police received a report that unknown suspect(s) stole a compressor, vibro plate, a rammer, copper piping and water softener from unfinished hotel rooms at a construction site. The total cost of the stolen property was valued at approximately $7,000. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

Vandalism

1455 Mission Drive, Solvang (Holiday Inn Express)

A 42-year-old male reported that unknown suspect(s) jammed the door handles of his car and pulled rubber off his windshield wipers. Police removed fingerprints off the passenger and driver doors and they were sent to forensics. A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

Police received a report that an 18-year-old female and 18-year-old male, both from Santa Barbara, stole a digital camera and other items from a patron of the vineyard. The case was submitted to the District Attorney for a complaint.
