Boy, can he boogie

Bill and Laura Deputy of Solvang had a big reason tp celebrate when their daughter, Carol Roberts, won the Non-Pro Stock Horse class at the recent Santa Barbara Fiesta. Her Quarter Horse is Will He Boogie and has been shown at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno and the NRHA Reining Futurity in Oklahoma as a three-year-old. He has been shown in both Bridle and Hackamore, earning the NRCHA Supreme Cow Horse Award − the highest there is. His earnings have exceeded $37,000.

Carol was awarded a beautiful Sean Ryon saddle at Fiesta, and the happy winner told us, “I’ve had Will since he was a yearling. He is by Like A Diamond, and out of Bramble Boogie, and has so much talent. He’s a great cow horse and has the wonderful presence of a reiner. This horse has a great personality and holds a special place in my heart. I’m sure he will be around for my grandchildren to enjoy.”

Carol grew up in the Valley, but now lives with her family in Ojai. She is an Equine Therapist, using micro-current to soften tissue.
