Band helps students fulfill graduation requirement

Beginning the week of Jan. 22, Allan Hancock College is offering 16 spring credit evening courses at its Solvang Center and at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School.

 

Center classes include Agriculture Business 320 -- Wine Tasting Room Sales; Dance 172 -- Ballroom Dance; Dance 174 -- Complex Ballroom Rhythms; Dance 175 -- Salsa, Swing; Dance 178 -- Latin & Jitterbug Dance Forms; Physical Education 131 -- Tai Chi for Health; Physical Education 134 -- Martial Arts Techniques; Physical Education 142 -- Low Impact Conditioning Exercise; and Physical Education 146 -- Strength and Flexibility.

 

Classes offered at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School are Economics 101 -- Principles of Macro Economics; History 107 -- U.S. History to 1877; History 108 -- U.S. History 1877-Present; and Political Science 103.

 

Current qualified high school students also can receive college credit through Allan Hancock’s College Now! Program. The enrollment fee is waived for eligible students. WebReg (online registration) for these and other credit classes continues through Dec. 21. It will be available again Jan. 2 through 9. In-person registration at the Solvang Center, 320 Alisal Rd., Suite 306, will be Jan. 14 and 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
