Online Photo Gallery: Los Rancheros Visitadores Pre Trek
By Valley Journal Staff
A cowboy tradition that began in 1930 is set to continue this year with the 77th annual Los Rancheros Visitadores Ride, May 5.
The historical gathering is rooted in the baby days of California, a prominent ranching and cattle herding era. The ride that begins near the Santa Barbara Mission keeps the heart and soul of ridding alive. Ridders travel from far and near to participate.
Below: photos of a few Visitadores members.

General Manager John B. Balch poses for the camera. "My father participated in the ride," Balch says. "I'm lucky enough to get to do this 7-days-a-week-365-days-a-year."
