Vehicle Theft

200th Bl. of Alisal Rd., Solvang

Police approached a truck parked in an alley. One suspect fled. Police later learned that a 21-year-old male had reported the vehicle stolen. No arrests were made. Vehicle was returned to owner.

 Vandalism

400th Bl. of Alisal Rd., Solvang

A 63-year-old male reported that “KRD” graffiti had been written on three of his air conditioners. Police noted that there have been other recent vandalisms in the area. No arrests were made. Suspect(s) remain at large.

 Battery

300th Bl. of Fifth St., Solvang

A 28-year-old female from Buellton reported being dragged by her hair, pushed through a door and punched in her abdomen by her boyfriend’s son, a 22-year-old male. The victim refused medical attention. Police attempted to contact the suspect. No arrests were made. A report was made for detective follow-up.

A 62-year-old female from Solvang reported that unknown suspect(s) wrote “KRD” in red and black permanent felt marker on an elevator door and mailbox. No arrests were made. Suspect(s) remain at large.

 Traffic Violation

Intersection of Atterdag Road and Mission Drive, Solvang

Police impounded a white Honda Accord after stopping a 25-year-old driver for speeding. Driver was unable to produce license. The five passengers were forced to walk once the vehicle was impounded.

Warrant Arrest

Mission Drive at Fifth Street, Solvang

A 40-year-old male from Guadalupe, Calif. was arrested for having outstanding warrants after a routine traffic stop. Suspect was taken to Santa Barbara County Jail.

Sagunto Street at Edison Road,

Santa Ynez

A 23-year-old male from Ventura was cited after a routine traffic stop. Police discovered the male was driving on a suspended license. Police impounded the vehicle and served him notice to appear.

Arrest

Willow Circle, Santa Ynez

Police arrested a 43-year-old male and a 28-year-old woman after finding them under the influence of alcohol in public. Both suspects were taken to Santa Barbara County Jail.

1700th Bl. of Mission Dr., Solvang

A 78-year-old male from La Quinta, Calif. Was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after police observed him speeding and swerving. Suspect’s blood alcohol level was .16, double the legal limit. Suspect’s rented vehicle was impounded and suspect was released.
