Centre Stage’s Dance Fever at Solvang’s Theaterfest Draws a Sold-Out Crowd
Over 600 people showed up at Solvang’s Theatrefest Theater to watch Center Stage’s 2007 annual dance showcase performance on May 18.
Performances featured dance from the genres of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Hip-Hop and Flamenco. Over 40 dance groups showed their stuff.
The performances also mixed theater and acting with dance routines, which proved to be wonderfully entertaining. Dance themes widely varied from classical and traditional to sporty and jazzy, with extravagant costumes that were as entertaining as the routines.
All that can be said is “WOW.” It was amazing to see young people live up to the idea of dance professionalism and poise.
