Arrest

3400th block of Hwy 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

Police arrested a 35-year-old male from Oxnard and a 39-year-old female from Camarillo after they allegedly attempted to pass a counterfeit check at the Chumash Casino. The female suspect had a record of theft and forgery. Both suspects were taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

Grand Theft

3400th block of Hwy 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

Police responded to the report that a 39-year-old male from Visalia Calif. cashed over $500 in quarters. It was suspected that the male was involved in multiple break-ins at a Ventura laundry mat. No arrests were made. A report was sent to the Visalia police department for review.

Warrant Arrest

1100th block of Faraday, Santa Ynez

A 27-year-old female was arrested after police contacted her at her residence as a result of a field contact service warrant attempt. She had outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was taken to the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office, where bail was posted.

 

Petty Theft

1600th block of Maple Ave, Solvang

A 26-year-old male reported that a suspect pried open coin box in an unlocked laundry room and stole an unknown amount of quarters. No arrests were made. Suspect(s) remain at large.

Highway 154 by Edison, Los Olivos

A 21-year-old female was given a notice to appear in court after being pulled over for expired license and registration.

 

Citation

Atterdag Street and Copenhagen Street, Solvang

A 23-year-old male driving a green Chevy truck was given a notice to appear after police pulled him over for loud music. During the traffic stop it was ascertained that the driver did not have a valid California driver license.

Arrest

First Street & Fir Ave., Solvang

A 19-year-old male from Santa Barbara and a 30-year-old male from Lompoc were arrested after police noticed a burning substance being thrown form the car. Police pulled the Dodge Spirit and arrested the 19-year-old for not having a valid California driver license and the 30-year-old for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both were released and the car was impounded.

1000th block of East Main Street, Santa Maria

A 37-year-old male reported that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his debit/MasterCard and taken $923.15 from his account. No arrests were made. Suspect(s) remain at large.

 

Citation

Armour Ranch & Happy Canyon

A 37-year-old male was issued a Misdemeanor citation for allegedly possessing a crack pipe and being unable to produce a valid driver license or vehicle registration. The pipe was booked into evidence at the Solvang Police Station.

1500th block of Copenhagen Drive, Solvang

A 51-year-old male was arrested after being pulled over for speeding. After being pulled over police gave him a breath test. The man’s blood alcohol level was greater than .08. His vehicle was impounded and he was taken to the Solvang Police Station where he was cited and released.

3400th block of East Hwy. 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

A 19-year-old male from Santa Barbara was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol in public. He reportedly was detained by casino security and was unable to walk. He was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.
