18-year-old male from Goleta was arrested for being drunk in public after
police received reports that the man was disruptive at the casino and refused
to leave the premises. Eventually the man left the casino with another person.
While police were questioning the man, they observed that the man had bloodshot
eyes and a staggering gait. He was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

41-year-old female from Santa Ynez reported that her two daughters ran away.
After conducting an investigation, police found the girls near Vandenberg
Village. The two girls were transported to the Lompoc Sheriff’s Station and
later picked up by their mother.

45-year-old woman from Santa Maria was arrested for being in possession of
methamphetamine after police received a report that casino staff had detained
her for being in possession of the drugs. When police arrived they found two
baggies of crystalline substances and a three-inch straw in the woman’s wallet.
She was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

46-year-old man from Solvang was arrested for being drunk in public after
police found him passed out on the street. He was taken to the Santa Barbara
County Jail.

A 27-year-old man from Solvang was arrested
for being drunk in public after police received reports that he was attempting
to break into a car. When police arrived on the scene, the man swayed and
appeared to be drunk. He was transported to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

29-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Sherman Oaks, were placed
under citizen’s arrest by an employee at the store after surveillance tapes
revealed them taking miniature wooden clogs and leaving the store without
paying for them.
The
female claimed that “[she] didn’t do anything wrong and this whole thing is
ridiculous,” while speaking to a Sheriff’s deputy. Both the man and woman were
issued citations and released.

19-year-old woman from Goleta was cited for being in possession of more than an
ounce of marijuana and a switchblade knife, after police observed that there
was a large volume of smoke wafting from the passenger’s side window.
When
the woman noticed that she was being watched by an officer, she threw a small
item from the car and began to drive away. The woman later admitted that the
small item she threw from the vehicle was a small joint.

28-year-old male from Santa Maria was cited for driving without a valid
California Driver’s License after police pulled him over for failing to stop at
a stop sign. The vehicle was released to one of the man’s friends.

38-year-old male from Guadalupe was cited for being in possession of a
methamphetamine pipe, a violation of his probation, after police pulled him
over for a missing license plate light.

A
31-year-old male from Santa Maria reported that an adult male, wearing a plaid
shirt and a jean jacket, assaulted him and forced him from his vehicle, then
fled in the man’s car.
After
investigating the alleged incident police concluded that the incident didn’t
take place and that the case was unfounded.
A
case against the Santa Maria man is being submitted to the District Attorney’s
Office.

34-year-old male from Buellton reported that an unknown suspect(s) broke into
his locked vehicle and stole a cell phone from the center console. An unknown
tool was used to unlock the door. The cost of the phone was estimated at $160.
A report was taken and the case was suspended pending leads.

Casino
security reported that they had an 18-year-old male from Westlake Village,
Calif., in custody for throwing a plant off a foot bridge, pushing over a trash
can and kicking and shattering a fire extinguisher case. The damage was
estimated to cost about $60. The man was cited and released from the scene.

Threats

57-year-old man from Los Olivos reported that an
associate threatened his life after he cancelled a check in the amount of
$5,000 payable to the associate. The man claimed that the threat followed a
weekend in Las Vegas, where he lost a lot of money gambling with the associate
who allegedly threatened him. The man claimed that the associate was a “coke
dealer.” The report was forwarded to the
Las Vegas Metro Police.
