A 25-year-old male from Solvang was arrested for being
drunk in public after an officer observed him staggering in a crosswalk. The
man admitted to drinking “too much,” and claimed he was heading home. He was
booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)
Four men, all from Camarillo, were arrested for
conspiracy to steal stereo equipment from the casino. According to the
Sheriff’s Station report, two suspects acted as lookouts, while the other two
suspects stole the stereo system. Casino security detained the individuals and
a search of their vehicle turned up stolen items. They were all booked into the
Santa Barbara County Jail.

illegally possessing cigarettes, which he claimed to have found in front of a
business.

A 37-year-old male from Lompoc was arrested for being
drunk in public after police received reports that he was stumbling and bumping
into people at the casino. The man could hardly stand by himself and his speech
was slurred. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

A 47-year-old male from Oakview
was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance while
police were conducting a trespassing investigation at the casino. While talking
to the man, officers notices symptoms associated with drug use. The man later
admitted that he was addicted to methamphetamine.

Trail, Santa Ynez
A 36-year-old male from Los Angeles reported that a
40-year-old male from Santa Ynez broke into his car and stole his driver’s
license, a stereo and clothes. Total estimated damage and loss was about $540.
A report was taken and a recommendation was made for a detective follow-up.

trespass after casino security reported that the man had returned to the casino
despite being banned. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

Road, Solvang (Solvang School)
A 15-year-old male was arrested for exhibiting an
imitation firearm near school grounds after an administrator reported that the
boy had allegedly threatened to shoot another student. When Sheriff’s deputies
contacted the boy, they saw him put the imitation gun into his waistband and ordered
him to the ground at gunpoint. The boy complied and officers later discovered
that the gun was an air soft-type BB gun. The case was submitted to the
District Attorney for a complaint review.
