This early morning shot of Figueroa Mountain, taken Jan. 7 by Phil Hall, shows the snowy results of three storms that hit the Santa Ynez region Jan. 4-6. High surf advisories, wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, flash flood warnings, and more than six inches of rain on the higher passes were reported by the National Weather Service all along the Pacific Coast, with snow reaching down to the 4,000-foot elevation. At press time, some clouds and mostly sunny days are forecast for the Santa Ynez Valley.
