Board of
Supervisors approves budget revision
The
Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors on May 13 approved the following
requests for budget revisions:
•
A public health department request to record $2,9562
of unanticipated revenue from the federal government for bioterrorism
preparedness, shift salaries and benefits of totaling $19,627, “other
expenditures” in the amount of $12,852 to services and supplies totaling
$13,557 and fixed assets totaling $48,484; increase the children’s agency fund
designation by $22,000 for future human services commission grant allocations
to non-profit groups;
•
General services and parks request to increase the general services intra-county
revenue from the parks department by $8,000 due to the park’s increased demand
for general services real property services in FY 2007-08;
•
Housing and community development request to increase budget appropriation in
Fund 0065 Affordable Housing Fund by $2,900,000 for completion of St. Vincent’s
Gardens Apartments in Santa Barbara utilizing the South Coast housing market
area in-lieu fees and state community development block grant designations;
•
Clerk-recorder assessor department requests to recognize the revenue increases
and shortfalls in the clerk-recorder division and designate the positive
balance of $15,000 to fund vital records’ operations;
• Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services request of a
revision to transfer $2,300,000 from the general fund strategic reserve for an
unanticipated revenue shortfall; recognize and designate unanticipated revenues
from fines and fees collected by courts on the department’s behalf, in the
amount of $10,000.
