Zona Seca announces new board member

 

Sylvia Muñoz Schnopp of Port Hueneme has been appointed to the Zona Seca, Inc. board of directors.       

Schnopp is owner and president of Oxnard-based Schnopp Consulting Group. Her expertise includes serving as a consultant and volunteer for eight years with City Impact, an Oxnard-based program similar to Zona Seca.

Schnopp has also served on the board of directors, executive committee and the economic and environmental policy leadership committee with the Ventura County Economic Develop Association. She was a featured guest writer for Mi Estrella, a bilingual newspaper produced by the Ventura County Star. 

 

“Sylvia will be a great addition to the board,” Zona Seca Board Chair Lin Graf said. “She brings an extensive amount of experience from different communities and her insight will prove to be invaluable to build on the success Zona Seca has had.”

Zona Seca, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional and cost-effective substance abuse counseling intervention and prevention services to the local community in Lompoc and Santa Barbara. Programs address youth offenders, driving under the influence, family violence, and drug diversion and home to the nationally-recognized Youth CineMedia program.
