Breakfast seminar for business
A free breakfast seminar will be hosted at the Buynak Law Firm branch in Solvang from 8 to 9 a.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 13, at 433 Alisal Road, Suite C.
Joy Margolis, Esq. will make a presentation entitled, Piercing the Business Veil is Painful: Maintenance
for Corporations and LLCs. The talk will focus on the annual maintenance
requirements necessary to maintain corporate and limited liability company
entities to avoid personal liability for business activities.
“It is extremely critical for business owners to insulate
and separate themselves and their assets from business actions,” advises
Margolis.
A complimentary continental breakfast of organic fruit,
coffee, tea, juices and pastries will be served.

Scott tops under
40
Shannon Scott, creator and owner of Shannon Scott Design
in Los Olivos, was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 business people by the Pacific Coast Business Times
at a reception Oct. 13.
Scott is known not only for her keen eye for interior
design but for her love of animals and music.
She brought Sedona recording artist Chris Spheeris to the valley last month for a special event at
her Los Olivos studio and organized a concert at Kalyra Winery.
Scott also planned a meditation session at Del Sol,
donating a portion of the proceeds to the Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, and
she was one of the BOOM Festival sponsors, which promoted young artists and
raised funds for the Charter School.
Scott has designed seven tri-county
tasting rooms and just completed designing the interior of a 10,000-square-foot
castle in Newfoundland, Canada.
