Scott tops under 40

Shannon Scott, creator and owner of Shannon Scott Design in Los Olivos, was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 business people by the Pacific Coast Business Times at a reception Oct. 13.

Scott is known not only for her keen eye for interior design but for her love of animals and music.

She brought Sedona recording artist Chris Spheeris to the valley last month for a special event at her Los Olivos studio and organized a concert at Kalyra Winery.

Scott also planned a meditation session at Del Sol, donating a portion of the proceeds to the Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, and she was one of the BOOM Festival sponsors, which promoted young artists and raised funds for the Charter School.

Scott has designed seven tri-county tasting rooms and just completed designing the interior of a 10,000-square-foot castle in Newfoundland, Canada.
