Artists invited to show work

Fifteen local artists from the Artists Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley have been invited to show their work in the Spring Show at the Rehabilitation Institute Meisel Gallery, 2415 De La Vina St., in Santa Barbara.

The group will be honored at a reception Feb. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The show will run Feb.18 through May 2. Art can be viewed Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Rehabilitation Institute uses art as part of the healing process.

The gallery was established by Harris Meisel, M.D., who says that “art has a way of transforming a sterile medical environment into a setting of color and inspiration.”

Dr. Meisel, who also is an artist, displays his work at the Institute. For more information call 687-7444.
