A 54-year-old female from Santa Maria was arrested for
filing a false police report after she reported that someone had set some
sheets and a mattress on fire.
After investigating the supposed crime, the officer
concluded that the woman was filing a false report to cover-up damage that he
believed the woman’s boyfriend caused.
She was taken to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

A 21-year-old female from Solvang reported that an
unknown suspect(s) broke into her car and stole her jacket and CDs. The
estimated damage and value of the stolen items was $550.

while under the influence of alcohol after an officer caught the man speeding.
Initially, the man denied drinking any alcohol, but later admitted to drinking
one beer.

contain any cash, but did contain credit cards and the victim’s driver’s
