Anybody who ventured outside over the weekend was likely treated to a full moon illuminating the Valley. The moon on Jan. 29 could be seen rising over the Santa Maria Valley at dusk. The shot is from Clark Avenue in Orcutt, looking toward the Madre Mountains. A rainy week gave way to clear skies, making the sight more vivid.
